S400 DME mechanical diaphragm pumpsOperating capacities from 60 to 940 litres/hour at 4 to 10 bar![]() Digital dosing with stepper motor technology - two features of the Signal S400 DME series pumps that bring you all the benefits of 'what you set is what you get' technology. The simple push button control belies the ease with which the S400 delivers continuous accuracy. Just punch in the dosing level that you need - and the S400 will deliver it for you with true precision. Stepper motor technology controls the speed, acceleration and position of the diaphragm - giving smoother, precise dosing. With a turn down of up to 1,000:1, the Signal S400 series brings you a range of flow rates from 2.5millilitres to 940 litres/hour. This feature, combined with the versatility of stepper motor drive, means that a very comprehensive span of dosing needs is catered for from only a handful of different models. Set it and forget itThere was a time when calibrating a pump and getting the right dosing system was a complicated process. Skill was no substitute for trial and error - and the whole process had to be repeated whenever any adjustment was necessary. Now - thanks to digital dosing - you can rely on the pump and its self-calibration capability to do everything for you. The user-friendly control panel is the key - just key in the required dosage additive on the control buttons and the pump will do the rest. Quite simply, set it and forget it. What you set is what you get! Dosing the smooth wayThanks to the design of the Signal S400 DME pumps, the motor-driven connecting rod remains in contact with the diaphragm throughput the suction/discharge cycle. This maintains a steady, smooth movement that minimises pressure peaks in the dosing head and discharge line - and eliminates any problem of vibration. Vitally, it ensures that the additive is discharged more evenly, ensuring precise dosing. The performance of the pump is further enhanced by its full stroke length, which makes the pump less vulnerable to the build-up of gasses in the dosing head and therefore contributing still more to its precision dosing capability. In controlBy pressing the 100% key on the control panel, the pump can be made to run at full capacity. This ensures that the pump is fully primed with additive before a new process begins. Once priming is complete, the system returns automatically to its previous setting. All models can be equipped with a Fieldbus communications module that will share information with you on such matters as performance data, quality control and preventative maintenance. You can monitor and control operations from your PC. According to need, you can select from a wide choice of pump control options. These include manual operation, full pulse control, timer-based batch control, analogue 4-20 mA control, pulse-based batch control and switch-mode power supply.
