New electronic self-calibration for Signal PumpsNew self-calibrating controls have been introduced right across the Signal S200 range of dosing pumps, making them even more user-friendly, proven in reliability and accurate in operation. Signal pioneered 'set it and forget it' intelligent dosing technology when it launched its S100 PZiA pump three years ago. Now, similar control technology has been added to the S200 series, effectively extending the same smart technology and benefits across a range of pump flow rate options from 50 millilitres/hour to 750 litres/hour. The new electronic controls provide a back-lit menu display with touch controls, providing user-friendly initial calibration that is then taken over by continuous self-calibration. Not only does this ensure greater dosing accuracy, but it also reduces chemical wastage. Within the potable and dirty water treatment industry, this extended Signal technology is suited to many water treatment chemical applications, including plumbosolvency control and water disinfection. With many water treatment plants being remote or unmanned, the combination of self-calibration with high operational reliability ensures and confirms that the required addition levels are continuously maintained, without the cost of frequent site visits by technicians. Other functions provided include over-pulse storage, batch metering, display of actual flow rates and alarm functions - such as, for example, low tank levels. All the Signal pumps in this range are available with direct, pump-mounted multifunction valves, giving four functions in one. Compared with the use of multiple valves, this gives cost-saving and reduces potential leaks and need for maintenance visits. |
